Melissa Rivers is trying to stay positive while marking her first Halloween since losing her mother Joan Rivers. The TV personality shared a sweet throwback picture of the mother-daughter duo via Instagram on Thursday, Oct. 30.
"#TBT Tricks and treats! With mom at the Dream #Halloween Fundraiser for Children Affected by AIDS Foundation in 2004," Melissa captioned the pic from 2004. The pair both donned black tops while the late E! Fashion Police host added a pair of Halloween cat ears.
Melissa previously posted a throwback photo of her mom and son Cooper, 13, playing on the swings. "Connecticut, 2004. Mom + Cooper = BFFs… A perfect day. #TBT," the Fashion Police producer captioned via WhoSay on Oct. 23.
Melissa may be remembering the good times, but she still is dealing with a possible lawsuit behind the scenes. Earlier this week, Us Weekly confirmed that Melissa has contacted NYC-based law firm Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman, Mackauf, Bloom & Rubinowitz to look into the circumstances surrounding Joan's death. Joan passed away at the age of 81 following a reportedly botched throat procedure at the Yorkville Endoscopy clinic in August.
