She's a mom-trepreneur! Shortly after welcoming her first child with husband Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively took to social media to promote her lifestyle website Preserve, and several custom-designed items which she created herself.
"Happy New Year!!" the Gossip Girl alum, 27, wrote in a New Year's Day Instagram post, which included a colorful painting of beetles composed in various shapes and sizes. "Wanted to share a painting I made this year with the incredible @ashleylongshoreart. Best teacher ever! 😉 Anyone recognize any of these bugs from anywhere else? (Hint some are also on my couch)."
On Monday, Jan. 5 — the same day Us Weekly confirmed that she had given birth over the holidays just before the New Year — Lively posted another update about her work.
"Thank you guys for kind notes about my painting!" the Age of Adaline actress gushed. "A few of you asked about buying it. It's a sentimental piece so it's up in my home, but because that piece means so much to me, I incorporated parts of it into my PreserveHome collaboration with @ashleylongshoreart."
Lively shared a multi-pic collage of decorative pillows lining a velvet blue sofa (though it's unclear whether the shoot took place inside Lively and Reynolds' Westchester, N.Y. estate). The home and design items include vivid paintings of butterflies, beetles, birds, and more.
On the Preserve website, each pillow represents a season, and can be purchased for $136 (or $544 for all four). "Now we'll all have the same art in our homes," Lively added in her Instagram post on Monday. "#tooprettyforapillowfight…or.is.it?!"
As for how the new mom is doing after giving birth? "The baby came early but everyone is happy and healthy," a source told Us.
