Ryan Reynolds

Actor Ryan Reynolds has starred in various successful romantic comedies and action films, from Just Friends (2005) and The Proposal (2009) to Green Lantern (2011) and Safe House (2012). The Canadian got his start in acting with a recurring role on the drama Fifteen before appearing in films such as Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996) and The Alarmist (1997) and later becoming a mainstay in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Deadpool.

For his portrayal of the Marvel superhero, Reynolds earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy in 2017. Some of his notable later appearances include Criminal (2016), Red Notice (2021) and Bullet Train (2022).

Reynolds is a cocreator, executive producer and star of FX’s Welcome to Wrexham alongside his friend and Wrexham A.F.C. co-owner Rob McElhenney. The series premiered in 2022 and won an Emmy for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program in 2023 and 2024. Season 4 of the series is set to air in May 2025.

Reynolds was engaged to Alanis Morissette from 2004 to 2007 and was married to Scarlett Johansson from 2008 to 2011. Reynolds moved on with Green Lantern costar Blake Lively, and the pair tied the knot in 2012. The couple share four children.
