About

Tori Spelling (born Victoria Davey Spelling) is an actress, author and reality TV personality best known for playing Donna Martin on Fox’s Beverly Hills, 90210 and, later, for chronicling her personal life on reality television. Tori is the daughter of legendary television producer Aaron Spelling and author Candy Spelling. Raised in one of Hollywood’s most prominent entertainment families, she graduated from Harvard-Westlake School and later began acting as a child with guest roles on various series produced by her father.

Spelling’s breakout came in 1990, when she was cast as Donna Martin on Beverly Hills, 90210, a role she played for the show’s entire 10-season run. The series turned her into a household name and led to additional acting roles in a number of projects, including Scary Movie 2 (2001), So Notorious and The Help. Beyond acting, Spelling became a bestselling author with memoirs including Stori Telling (2008) and Spelling It Like It Is (2014). She also starred in numerous reality series, including Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, Tori & Dean: Inn Love and True Tori, which documented her marriage and family life with actor Dean McDermott.

Spelling married actor and playwright Charlie Shanian in 2004, but the pair divorced after her affair with McDermott. She tied the knot with McDermott in 2006, going on to welcome five children: Liam (born in 2007), Stella (born in 2008), Hattie (born in 2011), Finn (born in 2012) and Beau (born in 2017). McDermott announced their separation in 2023 via social media, and their divorce was finalized in 2025.
