Beverly Hills 90210

Beverly Hills, 90210 is an American teen drama series that debuted on Fox in October 1990 and ran for 10 seasons until May 2000. The series pioneered the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise, which has a total of six shows following a group of friends living in Beverly Hills as they make their way through high school and college before moving into the adult world.

Beverly Hills, 90210 revolves around the Walsh Family when they transition from their value-oriented lifestyle in the midwest to glamorous Beverly Hills. Parents Jim and Cindy (played by James Eckhouse and Carol Potter) and their teenage twins, Brandon (Jason Priestley) and Brenda (Shannen Doherty), experience many ups and downs while adjusting to their new accelerated lifestyle, involving academics, romances, career aspirations and parental issues.

The Walsh family is introduced to a star-studded cast of characters, including Dylan McKay (Luke Perry), Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth), Donna Martin (Tori Spelling), David Silver (Brian Austin Green), Steve Sanders (Ian Ziering), Andrea Zuckerman (Gabrielle Carteris) and Valerie Macon (Tiffani Thiessen).

Melrose Place was the first spinoff to debut in 1992 followed by Models Inc. in 1994. Follow-ups 90210 and a new version of Melrose Place premiered in 2008 and 2009, respectively. The sixth series in the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise, BH90210, premiered in 2019 with several OG stars returning — from Spelling to Priestly — but was canceled after one season.
