Demi Moore

Demi Moore (born Demi Gene Guynes) is an Oscar-nominated actress and producer known for her work in Ghost, A Few Good Men and G.I. Jane. Moore was born in Roswell, New Mexico, where she was raised primarily by her mother and stepfather. She attended Fairfax High School in Los Angeles before dropping out to work as a receptionist at 20th Century Fox.

Moore began her career as a model before transitioning into acting in the early ’80s, landing her first onscreen performance in 1981’s Choices. She gained early recognition playing Jackie Templeton on the ABC soap opera General Hospital. She rose to fame as part of the Brat Pack after starring in St. Elmo’s Fire in 1985 followed by About Last Night in 1986. By the early ’90s, Moore had become one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood.

In 1990, Moore achieved major box-office success with Ghost, earning a Golden Globe nomination for her performance. Moore went on to star in A Few Good Men (1992), Indecent Proposal (1993), Disclosure (1994) and G.I. Jane (1997). She later received a Golden Globe Award for If These Walls Could Talk (1996) and returned to prominence with roles in Margin Call (2011) and Love Sonia (2018). In 2024, she starred in The Substance, which earned her an Oscar nomination and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress.

Moore was married to musician Freddy Moore from 1980 to 1985 and later moved on with Emilio Estevez. The two got engaged but called it off in 1986. She was later married to actor Bruce Willis from 1987 to 2000. Moore and Willis share three daughters: Rumer (born in 1988), Scout (born in 1991) and Tallulah (born in 1994). She tied the knot with actor Ashton Kutcher in 2005, but the two divorced in 2013.
