Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell is an Emmy-nominated actress known for her roles in Veronica Mars and The Good Place. Born in Huntington Woods, Michigan, Bell began performing in school plays at an early age. She studied musical theater at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts but left before graduating to pursue professional work.

Bell made her Broadway debut in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer in 2001. Her breakout role came in 2004 when she was cast as the title character in Veronica Mars, which ran for three seasons and was later revived as a film and limited series. She voiced the narrator on Gossip Girl from 2007 to 2012, and she later earned critical acclaim for her role as Eleanor Shellstrop on NBC’s The Good Place, which aired from 2016 to 2020. She went on to earn an Emmy nomination for performance on Netflix’s Nobody Wants This in 2025.

Her film credits include Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), Couples Retreat (2009), Bad Moms (2016) and The People We Hate at the Wedding (2022). She voiced Princess Anna in Frozen (2013) and its sequels, as well as several animated spinoffs. In 2019, she launched the baby care brand Hello Bello with her husband.

Bell began dating actor Dax Shepard in 2007. The couple got engaged in 2009 and married in a courthouse ceremony in 2013. They share daughters Lincoln (born in 2013) and Delta (born in 2014).
