Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck is an actor, director and producer best known for his Oscar-winning work in Good Will Hunting, Argo, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and more. Affleck spent his childhood in Cambridge, Massachusetts, alongside his younger brother, Casey Affleck. He attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin School before briefly enrolling at the University of Vermont and later Occidental College, though he did not complete a degree, instead moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting.

Ben’s breakthrough came in 1997 when he and childhood friend Matt Damon won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1997), a film in which they also starred. He went on to build a leading-man career with roles in Armageddon (1998) and Pearl Harbor (2001), later rebounding from a career lull with acclaimed projects he directed, including Gone Baby Gone (2007) and The Town (2010).

His notable credits include Argo (2012), Gone Girl (2014) and The Accountant (2016). In addition to acting, he has continued directing and producing through his and Damon’s production company, Artists Equity.

Ben was married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, and they share three children: Violet Anne (born in 2005), Seraphina Rose (born in 2009) and Samuel Garner (born in 2012). He later married Jennifer Lopez in 2022 after rekindling their early-2000s romance. The couple separated in 2024 and finalized their divorce the following year.
