Matt Damon

Matt Damon made his film debut in 1988’s Mystic Pizza but rose to prominence for 1997’s Good Will Hunting, which he cowrote and starred in alongside his childhood friend Ben Affleck. Damon and Affleck won an Oscar and Golden Globe Award for their screenplay.

Alongside Affleck, Damon produced the Emmy-nominated documentary series Project Greenlight, giving first-time filmmakers the opportunity to direct a feature film. Damon went on to star in Saving Private Ryan (1998) and The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), and he joined the highly successful Ocean’s and Jason Bourne film franchises. His other film credits include The Departed (2006), Contagion (2011), We Bought a Zoo (2011), Interstellar (2014), The Martian (2015), Ford v Ferrari (2019), Air (2023) and Oppenheimer (2023).

Damon has founded several philanthropic organizations working to fight mass atrocities, advocate for clean water and protect artists’ rights in the entertainment industry. Damon married Luciana Barroso in 2005, becoming stepfather to her daughter Alexia from a previous marriage. Damn and Barroso welcomed daughters Isabella, Gia and Stella in 2006, 2008 and 2010, respectively.
