
Cate Blanchett
Born May 14, 1969, in Melbourne, Australia, the award-winning actress first garnered international attention in the 1998 film Elizabeth. Since then, Blanchett has worked alongside the most venerated actors in Hollywood, including Brad Pitt, Glenn Close, and George Clooney.
She has received much critical praise in her career, notably for her work in the Lord of the Rings films, Babel, Elizabeth: The Golden Age and I’m Not There, for which she earned a 2008 Golden Globe for her performance as Jude Quinn.
The actress has been married to screenwriter Andrew Upton since 1997 and the couple resides in their native Australia with their three children, Dashiell, Roman, and Ignatius.
