Jeremy Renner

Jeremy Renner is a highly accomplished actor, writer, and director known for his versatility and range in a diverse array of film genres. Born in Modesto, California, Renner is the oldest of seven siblings.

Renner made his film debut in 1995, appearing in the comedy National Lampoon’s Senior Trip. However, it was his breakout role in 2002’s Dahmer, where Renner said he had a hard time coping with after. Since Dahmer, Renner has appeared in The Avengers franchise, The Bourne Legacy, Arrival, A Simple Favor and Mayor of Kingstown. He has also branched out into writing and directing, co-writing the screenplay for the 2014 film American Hustle and directing the 2016 film Arrival.

Renner has been nominated and won several awards, including a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

In his personal life, Renner was in a relationship with actress Rashida Jones briefly in 1995, and later dated actress Jen Macallan from 2005 to 2010. He married Sonni Pacheco less than a year after having their daughter Ava Berlin in 2014. They divorced the next year.

In early 2023, Renner was involved in a near-death accident when he was trying to tow his nephew’s car out of his driveway that was stuck in snow. After breaking more than 30 bones, Renner ultimately recovered.
