Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence is an Oscar-winning actress and producer. Lawrence was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, where she developed an interest in acting. After she was scouted by a talent agent during a trip to New York, Lawrence briefly modeled. She later landed onscreen roles in the early 2000s on shows like Monk and Cold Case.

In 2007, Lawrence joined the cast of The Bill Engvall Show for her first recurring television role before making her first big screen appearance in Garden Party (2008). Her 2010 breakout role as Ree in Winter’s Bone helped establish her as a mainstream talent, later solidified by her appearance in X-Men: First Class (2011). In 2012, she portrayed Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, acting alongside Josh Hutcherson and gaining critical acclaim for her performance. The following year, she starred in Silver Linings Playbook, a performance that earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2013. She reprised her role as Katniss in Catching Fire (2013), Mockingjay – Part I (2014) and Mockingjay – Part II (2015). Some of her later appearances include Joy (2015), Don’t Look Up (2021) and Die My Love (2025).

Lawrence was previously romantically linked to Nicholas Hoult from 2010 to 2014. She briefly moved on with Darren Aronofsky before she began dating art gallery director Cooke Maroney in 2018. The twosome tied the knot in 2019 and share two sons, Cy (born in 2022) and a second child born in 2025 whose name they have kept private.
