Nicholas Hoult

Nicholas Hoult is a British actor, whose acting career began at a young age, with his screen debut at age 6 in the 1996 film Intimate Relations. He gained attention for his role as Marcus Brewer in the 2002 dramedy About a Boy alongside costar Hugh Grant.

Hoult’s career has included a diverse range of performances, which include Tony Stonem on U.K. teen drama Skins (2007-2008), Hank McCoy/Beast in the X-Men franchise (2011-2019), Nux in Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Peter III on Hulu’s historical series The Great (2020-2023) and Thomas Hutter in Nosferatu (2024). He is set to play Lex Luthor in 2025’s Superman.

From his great performances on the big screen Hoult has been recognized with several nominations for his role in The Great, including two Golden Globe Awards for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy, a Primetime Emmy Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Hoult dated X-Men costar Jennifer Lawrence from 2010 to 2014. He has been dating model Bryana Holly since 2017. The pair have two children: a son, Joaquin (born April 2018) and their second child, whose name they have not disclosed, was born in 2022. The duo made their red carpet debut in December 2024, one month after Hoult started referring to Holly as “my wife” in interviews.
