Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio is an Academy Award-winning actor and producer known for starring in some of the highest-grossing and most acclaimed films of the past three decades. Born in Los Angeles, California, DiCaprio was raised by his mother in the Hollywood area after his parents separated shortly after his birth. He developed an interest in acting at an early age, eventually dropping out of high school to audition for roles in educational films and commercials throughout his childhood. He earned his GED while continuing to land roles in film and television.

DiCaprio’s early career included television roles on Parenthood and Growing Pains, where he gained notice as a teen actor. His breakthrough came with This Boy’s Life (1993) opposite Robert De Niro, followed by What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993), which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. His rise to global fame was cemented in 1997 with Titanic, which became one of the most successful films in history.

DiCaprio went on to headline films such as The Departed (2006), Inception (2010) and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), frequently collaborating with director Martin Scorsese. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for The Revenant (2015) and has received multiple Golden Globe Awards throughout his career. He is also known for producing films through his company Appian Way Productions, including The Aviator (2004).

DiCaprio has been in several high-profile relationships over the years, including with Gisele Bündchen, Bar Refaeli, Toni Garrn and Camila Morrone. In 2023, he began dating model Vittoria Ceretti.
