The Good Place
About
The Good Place premiered on NBC in 2016 and follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), who is mistakenly welcomed to the Good Place after her death. The Good Place is a utopian afterlife designed and run by architect Michael (Ted Danson) and guided by an artificial intelligence assistant named Janet (D’Arcy Carden) — but Eleanor soon learns that not everything is so perfect.
In order to stay in the Good Place, Eleanor receives ethics lessons from her assigned soulmate Chidi Anagonye (William Jackson Harper) in an attempt to teach her the fundamentals of being a good person. She also forms an unlikely friendship with Tahani Al-Jamil (Jameela Jamil) and Jason Mendoza (Manny Jacinto).
The Good Place concluded in 2020 after four seasons and received a Peabody Award in 2019.
