Dean McDermott

Born November 16, 1966, Dean McDermott is an actor and reality TV star.

Raised in his native Canada with three sisters, McDermott showed a great interest in acting from an early age. In July 1993, he wed fellow Canadian Mary Jo Eustace; they welcomed a son, Jack, five years later.

While filming the Lifetime movie Mind Over Murder, McDermott had an affair with his married costar Tori Spelling. After divorcing their first spouses, the costars tied the knot in Wakaya, Fiji, in May 2006.

McDermott and Spelling are parents to sons Liam and Finn and daughters Stella and Hattie. The family has appeared on several Oxygen reality shows, including Tori & Dean: Inn Love and Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.

The actor, an avid racer, also competed during the second season of Food Network’s Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off.

In 2023, McDermott and Spelling separated. McDermott took full accountability for the end of his 18-year marriage to Spelling while opening up about his struggles with substance abuse and how it slowly chipped away at their relationship.
