Welcome to Wrexham

Welcome to Wrexham is an unscripted docuseries that chronicles the revival of the Wrexham A.F.C., a Welsh soccer team owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The FX original series first premiered in 2022. Having first purchased the club in 2020, the show follows Reynolds and McElhenny as they learn about the history of the team and determine how to best rehabilitate Wrexham following a period of mismanagement.

The series offers a raw look at the professional and personal affairs of the players as they navigate climbing the ranks of the English Football League. Episodes follow the club through player injuries, roster changes and financial challenges while introducing viewers to key players in the team’s operations.

Since its premiere, Welcome to Wrexham has been critically acclaimed and boasts eight Emmy wins, including Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program in both 2023 and 2024. Season 4 of the show premiered in May 2025.
