Daddy’s angel forever. Following Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s tragic death at age 22 on Sunday, July 26, her father, Bobby Brown, released a statement to Us Weekly on Monday through his lawyer, speaking about the “unimaginable” loss of his daughter with the late Whitney Houston.
“Yesterday Bobbi Kristina Brown took her place in heaven,” the R&B singer’s attorney Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC told Us. “Krissy fought to get well for months, however she has succumbed to her injuries.”
Bobbi Kristina’s father also spoke out in his own words about the death of his 22-year-old girl. “Krissy was and is an angel,” Bobby told Us in the statement. “I am completely numb at this time. My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable.”
The late aspiring singer was found facedown and unresponsive on Jan. 31, in a bathtub of her suburban Atlanta home. The R&B scion battled for her life for nearly six months until Sunday, July 26, when the Houston family confirmed her death in a statement released to Us.
“Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July 26, 2015, surrounded by her family,” the family told Us. “She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”
In the month leading up to her death, Bobbi Kristina was placed in hospice care. “We thank everyone for the prayers for Krissy,” Bobby concluded in his statement on Monday. “And our family as we mourn my baby girl.”
