We are never, ever, ever getting off this island. A team of explorers, led by Tom Hiddleston‘s Captain James Conrad, learns to stop monkeying around in the first trailer for Kong: Skull Island, which debuted at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 23.
The trailer, presented during the Warner Bros. panel, shows the adventurers arriving at the home of the great Kong, who doesn’t appear pleased to greet them.
Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson and John Goodman also star.
“You are going to tell me everything I don’t know, or I’m going to blow your head off,” Packard (Jackson) says while holding Randa (Goodman) at gunpoint in a tense scene.
“This planet doesn’t belong to us,” Randa warns as the team finds an enormous, bloody handprint on the side of a mountain.
Hiddleston, 35, doesn’t have any lines in the trailer (sob!), but he nonetheless is having quite the moment of late. The actor, who earned his first Emmy nomination earlier this month for his role in The Night Manager, has been making frequent headlines for his whirlwind romance with Taylor Swift.
Hiddleston attended the Comic-Con panel on Saturday, while his girlfriend, 26, was spotted heading to a gym in West Hollywood that day. The “Blank Space” singer accompanied him to Australia recently, where Hiddleston has been filming his role as Loki in the upcoming movie Thor: Ragnarok.
