Warning: If you have not seen Sunday’s Game of Thrones episode, don’t read any further!
Jon Snow is alive! And Kit Harington is really, really sorry about lying to Us all.
As Us Weekly reported, during the episode on Sunday, May 1, Harington’s character, Snow, was brought back to life by magical Melisandre (Carice van Houten), who wasn’t even aware that her own powers of resurrection had been successful.
But as the episode closed, Snow opened his eyes after everyone involved in the incantations had left. British hunk Harington, 29, told Entertainment Weekly that he felt bad keeping the truth from his fans.
“Sorry!” he told the outlet in a video excerpt of the magazine’s next cover story. “I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone. I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing — or the show is doing — is right.”
Harington wasn’t the only person reacting to the biggest story line on Sunday night television this week. Twitter went wild as the actor’s handsome eyes opened at the end of the episode. Check out the best Twitter reactions below.
