Getting ready for Baby Legend! Chrissy Teigen and John Legend celebrated their first pregnancy with a fun-filled baby shower in NYC on Sunday, March 6.
Teigen, 30, shared an adorable shot on Instagram of herself and her musical hubby, 37, at the celebration. In the captionless post, she is seen sitting on the singer’s lap, planting a kiss on his left temple.
Legend also took to Instagram to post a selfie from the event, in which he wore a paper crown that read, “Baby Daddy.”
Teigen uploaded another a shot of herself with one of her bulldogs at the shower. In the sweet pic, she is seen with a bindi on her forehead as she cradles the cuddly pup in her arms.
The Cravings author admitted to Stephen Colbert during an appearance on The Late Show on March 1 that she consulted President Barack Obama for baby-name advice.
“I asked Barack — we’re, like, very first-name basis,” Teigen said, laughing. “I asked President Obama if he liked one of our name choices and he said he did. But then I realized I should have come up with two, so he could pick one because, you know, you’ve got to be nice about it if you give someone a name.”
The couple, who are expecting a baby girl in mid-April, have been very busy lately. They attended the Grammy Awards together in Los Angeles on February 15, before flying off to New York and Miami, where the model helped promote the Sports Illustrated 2016 Swimsuit Issue and Legend performed at a TED Talk event.
“We’re pretty mellow with it,” Teigen told Us Weekly last month. “I’m pretty anxious normally with most things in life [and work], but with this, we’re very calm and we feel very ready, despite having not really done anything … I think for the most part, we’re very lucky to have my mom and his mom with us during the summer, so we’ll learn as we go, just like with anything else.”
The fun-loving pair, who selected their first born’s gender through in vitro fertilization, tied the knot in 2013.
