In honor of the Emerald Isle! Saoirse Ronan shimmered in one sizzling green dress on the Oscars 2016 red carpet on Sunday, February 28, in Los Angeles.
The Best Actress nominee for Brooklyn, 21, glittered in a sequined emerald Calvin Klein Collection dress with a plunging neckline and a cutout back.
Ronan added even more bling to the ensemble with intentionally mismatched earrings — one pearl, one emerald — and a diamond and emerald ring by Chopard.
The Irish-American actress, who scored her first Oscar nom at just 13 years old for Atonement, reportedly chose the green dress to represent Ireland, both the subject of her film and her home as a child.
And it’s not her first time wearing the shade on a major red carpet. When Ronan first appeared at the Oscars in 2008, to celebrate her best supporting actress Oscar nomination for Atonement, she also chose a green dress: a jade-hued lace confection by Alberta Ferretti.
