
Antoni Porowski
Antoni Porowski is a chef, television personality and author best known as the food and wine expert on Netflix’s Queer Eye. Porowski was born in Montreal to Polish immigrant parents and spent part of his childhood in West Virginia before returning to Canada. He attended Marianopolis College in Montreal and later earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Concordia University. After moving to New York City, Porowski studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre while working in the restaurant industry.
Early in his career, Porowski held jobs as a busboy, waiter and wine steward before becoming a manager at a New York City sushi restaurant. He pursued acting alongside his hospitality work, acting in projects like Elliot Loves (2012), The Blacklist and To My Father (2016) before landing a breakthrough opportunity in 2018 as a member of the Fab Five on Queer Eye. The Netflix reboot quickly became a cultural phenomenon, introducing Porowski to a global audience through his accessible approach to cooking and food education.
Porowski has appeared in more than eight seasons of Queer Eye, which has earned multiple Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Structured Reality Program during his tenure. He has released bestselling cookbooks including Antoni in the Kitchen (2019) and Antoni: Let’s Do Dinner (2021). He has also expanded into hosting, fronting National Geographic’s No Taste Like Home with Antoni Porowski in 2025 and serving as a producer on several food-focused projects.
Porowski was previously in a long-term relationship with Joey Krietemeyer, which ended in 2018. He later became engaged to Kevin Harrington, with the pair confirming their split in 2023. He moved on with fitness trainer Zacharias Niedzwiecki in 2025.
