Queer Eye
Queer Eye is a reality TV series starring five LGBTQ+ lifestyle and wellness experts — a.k.a. the “Fab Five” — who use their talents to help improve the lives of contestants called “heroes.” The series premiered on Netflix in 2018 as a reboot of Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
Each of the “Fab Five” has a different area of expertise: Antoni Porowski specializes in cooking, Bobby Berk focuses on interior design, Jonathan Van Ness works wonders with hair and hygiene, Karamo Brown specializes in relationships and self-confidence and Tan France is a style guru.
Berk announced his departure from the show in November 2023, though he will still appear in the eighth season, which was filmed in New Orleans and will air January 2024. Season 9 will be filmed in Las Vegas.
Queer Eye has earned eight Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Outstanding Cast for a Reality Program and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program.
