Jonathan Van Ness is a television personality, grooming expert and LGBTQ+ advocate best known for their role as the grooming expert on Netflix’s Queer Eye reboot, which debuted in 2018. They also host the popular podcast “Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness” and are the author of the memoir Over the Top. An outspoken activist for LGBTQ+ rights and HIV awareness, Van Ness has used their platform to foster inclusion and self-acceptance.

In their personal life, Van Ness married Mark Peacock in 2020 and the couple resides in Austin, Texas, where they enjoy gardening and caring for animals. In early 2025, Van Ness revealed they are using GLP-1 weight-loss medication to manage a binge-eating disorder, highlighting the importance of mental health support.
