About

Bobby Berk is an interior designer and television personality best known as the former design expert on Netflix’s Queer Eye. Berk was born in Houston and was adopted by his maternal aunt and uncle in Mount Vernon, Missouri. He was raised in a conservative religious community and left home at 15, supporting himself with part-time jobs. He moved to Denver before relocating to New York City in 2003 to pursue a career in design.

Berk began working in retail design, holding positions at Restoration Hardware, Bed Bath & Beyond and Portico, where he eventually became creative director. In 2006, he launched his online furniture and home décor store, Bobby Berk Home, and opened his first showroom in New York City the following year. His career reached a wider audience in 2018 when he joined the reboot of Queer Eye as part of the Fab Five, helping renovate homes for the show’s participants. The series became a global hit and significantly raised Berk’s public profile.

Through Queer Eye, Berk earned a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Structured Reality Program along with his castmates. He later founded a full-service design firm and expanded into television hosting with projects outside the Netflix franchise, including appearances on The Masked Singer. Berk announced his departure from Queer Eye in 2023, making his final appearance on the show in early 2024. In 2025, he was named as the host of HGTV’s Junk or Jackpot? shortly after Queer Eye announced its final season.

Berk tied the knot with Dewey Do, a maxillofacial surgeon, in 2012 after dating for eight years.
