Chris Appleton

Chris Appleton is a celebrity hairstylist known for his work with a lengthy roster of A-listers. Appleton first began working in a hair salon at age 13, quickly discovering his love of hair styling. He later dropped out of school to focus on doing hair full-time.

Appleton quickly progressed in his career, getting his start with clients like Rita Ora before going on to work with some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry and Ariana Grande. He later expanded his profile into creative direction for high-profile brands and later became a contributor for programs like The Drew Barrymore Show and Today. His success as a celebrity stylist has landed him appearances on shows including Entertainment Tonight, The Kardashians and Access Hollywood.

Appleton met his former partner, Katie Katon, while working at Georges Hairdressing salon in his hometown. The pair share a son, Billy (born in 2002), and a daughter, Kitty-Blu (born in 2004). They split in 2009 after Appleton came out as gay, an experience he detailed in his debut book, Your Roots Don’t Define You (2026). In 2023, he tied the knot with Euphoria actor Lukas Gage, but the twosome divorced six months after exchanging vows.
