Jimmy Tatro is an actor, comedian and writer best known for his roles in American Vandal, Home Economics and 22 Jump Street. Tatro was born and raised in Los Angeles and briefly attended the University of Arizona. He began creating comedy videos during college and launched the YouTube channel LifeAccordingToJimmy in 2011.
Tatro gained a following online with sketch comedy content before making his film debut in Grown Ups 2 in 2013. His breakout came in 2017 when he starred as Dylan Maxwell in the Emmy-nominated Netflix mockumentary series American Vandal. His performance led to more prominent roles in film and television, including Stuber (2019), The Wolf of Snow Hollow (2020), Theater Camp (2023) and California King (2025).
From 2021 to 2023, he played Connor on ABC’s Home Economics. He has also produced digital content through his production company and has grown his YouTube channel to over 3 million subscribers.
Tatro has been in a relationship with actress Zoey Deutch since 2021. The two announced their engagement in September 2025.
