Kitty Spencer
Kitty Spencer is a model, socialite and philanthropist best known as the niece of the late Princess Diana and a fixture in the international fashion scene. Spencer was born in London, England, to Charles Spencer and Victoria Lockwood. She spent much of her childhood in South Africa, where her family relocated to escape intense media attention following her aunt’s death. She was educated in Cape Town and later attended the University of Cape Town, where she studied politics and literature. Spencer went on to earn a master’s degree in luxury brand management in London.
After returning to the U.K. as an adult, Spencer entered the fashion world and quickly gained attention for her style and royal-adjacent pedigree. She began professional modeling in 2015 and made her runway debut in 2017, later becoming a regular at major fashion weeks. Her profile rose internationally as she appeared at high-profile events and built relationships with leading luxury brands, including Dolce and Gabbana.
Spencer has appeared on the covers of magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle. In addition to modeling, she is involved in charitable work and has supported causes related to children’s welfare, HIV/AIDS awareness and mental health.
Spencer wed businessman Michael Lewis in July 2021 in Italy. In 2023, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Athena.
