Lauren Akins

Lauren Akins (née Gregory) is a philanthropist, author and social media personality best known for her marriage to country music star Thomas Rhett. Akins spent her childhood in Tennessee and later earned a degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee.

The former nurse first gained public attention through her relationship with Rhett, whom she met in elementary school. After briefly dating as teenagers, the two reconnected and married in 2012. While she initially stayed out of the spotlight, she became a prominent public figure via social media, where she shares her experiences as a mother and advocate for various humanitarian causes.

In 2020, she published her memoir, Live in Love: Growing Together Through Life’s Changes, which became a New York Times bestseller. She is an active philanthropist and works closely with Love One International, a nonprofit dedicated to providing medical care to children in Uganda.

Akins and Rhett share four daughters: Willa Gray (born in 2015), whom they adopted from Uganda in 2017, Ada James (born in 2017), Lennon Love (born in 2020) and Lillie Carolina (born in 2021). In 2025, the couple revealed they were expecting their fifth baby. Son Brave arrived in February 2026.
