Maya Hawke

Maya Hawke (born Maya Ray Thurman Hawke) is an actress, singer and songwriter best known for her role as Robin Buckley on Netflix’s Stranger Things. Maya was born in New York City to actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. She was raised primarily in Manhattan and developed an interest in the arts at an early age. Hawke attended Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn before enrolling at Juilliard School to study acting, though she left the program after landing a major onscreen role.

Maya’s acting career began in 2017 when she starred as Jo March in the BBC adaptation of Little Women. She rose to widespread fame in 2019 after joining the cast of Stranger Things in its third season. Her performance quickly made her a fan favorite and expanded her visibility in Hollywood.

Following her breakout, Maya appeared in films including Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), Mainstream (2020) and Do Revenge (2022). She has also lent her voice to animated projects such as Inside Out 2 (2024) and The American Revolution. In addition to acting, Maya launched a music career, releasing albums Blush (2020), MOSS (2022) and Chaos Angel (2024).

The actress entered a relationship with singer Christian Lee Hutson around late 2023. They wed in February 2026.
