About

Sarah Snook is an Australian actress and two-time Golden Globe winner. Snook got her start in acting as a child, and graduated with a B.A. from Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Arts in 2008.

In college, she acted in theater productions and quickly transitioned to the big screen with movies such as Sisters of War and The Dressmaker. Her first recurring TV role was Spirited, a comedy-drama series in which she played Antonia. Snook continued to appear in numerous TV shows and movies, including Netflix’s Black Mirror, until her breakout role on HBO’s Succession. Snook played the role of Shiv Roy from 2018 to 2023. Her performance went on to win her a Golden Globe in both 2022 and 2024. In 2023, she won the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

After Succession wrapped, Snook made her Broadway debut in the ambitious, one-woman production of The Picture of Dorian Gray in 2025. She won the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play in June 2025.

Snook began dating Australian comedian Dave Lawson in 2020 and the pair tied the knot the following year. They welcomed their first child in 2023.
