Zach Shallcross

Bachelor Nation fans were first introduced to Zach Shallcross during season 19 of The Bachelorette, which aired in the summer of 2022. The former college football player vied for Rachel Recchia‘s heart as she attempted to find The One alongside co-lead Gabby Windey.

The tech exec made it to the fantasy suites with Recchia, but he grew wary of their connection after hinting that she seemed different when the cameras weren’t rolling. After confronting her shortly before one of the last rose ceremonies of the season, he ultimately went home, leaving Tino Franco and Aven Jones as the remaining two suitors.

During the After the Final Rose special in September 2022, host Jesse Palmer announced Shallcross as the season 27 Bachelor lead. He met five of his potential contestants during the live show — even handing out a rose to one lucky woman named Brianna. Shallcross proposed to finalist Kaity Biggar during the March 2023 finale of The Bachelor. They got married in May 2025.

Before making his reality TV debut, the California native attended California Polytechnic State University and graduated in 2019. He later moved to Austin, Texas, where he worked for a tech company.

When viewers (and Recchia) met Shallcross’ family during the hometown dates episode in August 2022, it was revealed that his uncle is Patrick Warburton. The actor is known for his work in Seinfeld, Rules of Engagement, The Emperor’s New Groove and more.
