Little country stars in the making? "Might be," Keith Urban told Us Weekly at the Fox at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, Calif. on Monday, Jan. 13.
When asked if his two daughters with wife Nicole Kidman are musical, the American Idol judge, 46, shared a rare glimpse of family life in the Urban household: "I think Faith might be, our little 3-year-old," he said of his youngest child, Faith Margaret. "She likes 'Fifi,' so we call her Fifi now," he said of his baby girl's "new stage name."
"Sunday, our older one, she sings all the time too," the country crooner added of his 5-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose. "So who knows."
The father of two told Us that he would encourage his kids to do music if they had an innate talent for it like their famous dad. "Absolutely, if they're really good at it and that's what they want to do, I'd encourage them to work at it," he said of his daughters' potential future.
Musical talent, however, is not only limited to dad in this family: Long before she married Urban in June 2006, Kidman flexed her vocal muscles for Moulin Rouge! The star, 46, was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar back in 2002 for her role in the musical drama.
"Whatever they show an aptitude for and a passion for, they just have to work at it," the Aussie-raised superstar added Monday. "No matter what they do."
The Fuze singer will perform at the Grammys on Jan. 26. Idol's new season will return on Jan. 15.
