Bonding time! Certain celeb kids stayed up late on a school night on Sunday, April 12, accompanying their famous parents to the MTV Movie Awards 2015.
Mark Ruffalo had some fun with his daughter Bella, 9, at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre. The father-daughter pair wore adorably coordinated outfits to the star-studded affair, both donning black tuxedos with white collared shirts, black ties, and white pocket squares.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron actor, 47, shared a cute photo with his daughter via Instagram, captioning the shot, “On the way to the MTV Movie Awards with Bella Noche. I hope she forgives me for biting her style.” Bella gushed about said style to MTV on the red carpet, dishing that the suits were specially made by J.Crew Creative Director Jenna Lyons.
Kevin Hart followed Ruffalo’s lead, bringing daughter Heaven, 10, and son Hendrix, 7, as his dates to the awards show. The funnyman, 35, who welcomed the two kids with his ex-wife Torrei Hart, was honored at the show with the Comedic Genius Award.
Also nominated for Best Comedic Performance for his role in The Wedding Ringer, Hart took the stage with his little ones in tow. With his ex and his new fiancée Eniko Parrish in the audience, Hart thanked his family members in an adorable speech.
“I wanna thank my fiancée for being my rock right now,” he said, cozying up to his kids as he spoke. “I wanna thank my ex-wife for giving me these two kids who are my best friends right now; Heaven for being the most amazing daughter, Hendrix for being the most amazing son. My kids, I’m doing all of this for them. I’m trying to leave a legacy for them.”
Finally, Judd Apatow was joined at the MTV Movie Awards by his daughter Iris, 12. The young woman, who has made appearances in Apatow’s Knocked Up and This Is 40, stood by her father’s side as he answered questions on the red carpet.
In a quintessentially awkward moment for a soon-to-be teen, Apatow embarrassed his daughter when he talked about kissing. Entertainment Tonight spoke to the filmmaker and brought up MTV’s Best Kiss category, asking Apatow if he remembered his best kiss.
“Well it has to be with Iris’ mom,” the star said of wife Leslie Mann, as his daughter nervously laughed. “I guess the one that led to Iris being born… Whatever started that train.”
