David Duchovy and Tea Leoni have filed for divorce, TMZ reports. The couple previously announced their separation back in June 2011.
Duchovy filed papers in June, citing an irretrievable breakdown of the relationship. The 54-year-old actor and Leoni, 48, will have joint legal custody of their two children, daughter Madelaine, 15, and son Kyd, 12. Leoni will have primary physical custody.
Other terms of the divorce include Duchovy having to pay $8,333 a month in child support and $40,000 a month in spousal support.
The X-Files alum and Leoni married in 1997. Before announcing their separation in 2011, they also briefly split in 2007. In October 2008, Duchovy voluntarily entered a rehabilitation center for sex addiction for two months.
Leoni has been keeping busy since Duchovy's filing. The actress is playing the U.S. Secretary of State in the upcoming CBS series Madam Secretary.
