Harris has got himself a new house! Neil Patrick Harris and his fiance, David Burtka, have reportedly purchased a Harlem Brownstone home in New York City worth a whopping $3.6 million!
The stunning 8,000-square-feet, 5-story residence features five bedrooms and five bathrooms and enviable details like beautiful wood floors, a large living room with a built-in bookshelf, plus a spacious white ceramic kitchen. It also includes two terraces, a backyard, and a chef’s kitchen.
The new change marks a cross country move for the couple and their twins, Harper and Gideon, 2. “Neil is very happy with their new home,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They know the area well since they’ve been staying in Harlem for years so it feel less and less like a move. The kids go with them everywhere, so their home is pretty much where every ‘the daddies’ are.”
The How I Met Your Mother actor, 40, had his eye on the area for quite some time. “Looking to buy a brownstone in Harlem. Figure someone on Twitter might wanna sell. Any takers?” he blatantly tweeted in March.
The lavish new home is also near Marcus Park in Central Harlem — perfect for the couple’s two kids and playmates! Recently, Harris and Burtka, 38, took their twins on a vacation in St. Tropez, France with Elton John’s family including their kids, Zachary, almost 3, and Elijah, 7 months.
“Our plan is to reroute ourselves and have our kids start to go to school here,” he told Us at the HRC Marriage for Equality Celebration at the Calvin Klein boutique in NYC. “We’re at that age where we need to figure out where our kids are going to be educated. Then we hope that work finds us.”
The Gone Girl actor previously owned another apartment in Harlem and already owns a home in Studio City, Calif.
