Taylor Swift broke her social media silence on Friday, June 17 — with a tribute to the 49 victims of the tragic Orlando shootings.
“As you bury your loved ones this week, please know that there are millions of us sending you love and our deepest sympathy in the face of this unthinkable and devastating tragedy,” she captioned an Instagram photo of a handwritten sign listing the names of the murdered.
Funeral services for the victims began on Thursday, June 16, and will likely extend into the coming days and weeks.

The 26-year-old songstress has remained mum since news broke of her new romance with Tom Hiddleston on Wednesday, June 15.
The pair were snapped kissing in Rhode Island on Tuesday, and an eyewitness told The Sun that the new couple were “all over each other.”
The duo enjoyed a romantic dinner date at Olympia Tea Room in Westerly, Rhode Island, on Wednesday, and an onlooker told Us that they were in the back booth “drinking white wine” and enjoying each other’s company.
Swift’s ex, DJ-producer Calvin Harris, has since unfollowed the “Wildest Dream” singer on social media and told cameramen that things were “all good” between them.
“[She’s] just doing her thing,” the 32-year-old said with a smile when confronted by paparazzi in a parking garage in Beverly Hills on Thursday, June 16.
Harris dropped the music video for his new song, “This is What You Came For,” featuring Rihanna, that same day.
