Get out the floppy flower hats! The cast of Blossom reunited after 19 years on Monday, June 16, and were filled with nostalgia as they gave their fans a sneak peek with photos via Twitter.
Mayim Bialik (Blossom), Joey Lawrence (Joey Russo), Jenna von Oy (Six LeMeure), and Michael Stoyanov (Anthony Russo) came together this week to shoot promos for the TV series, which is coming back in syndication thanks to the Hub Network.
“#blossomreunion thanks to @HubTVNetwork in effect!” Bialik, 38, wrote. “Um…@joeylawrence @MikeStoyanov @JennavonOy. We still look like young whippersnappers @hubtvnetwork #blossomreunion.” The Big Bang Theory actress shared two photos of the former costars: one selfie, and another as they sat in director chairs.
“So awesome being with u all again. Feels like no time has passed. Love you all,” Lawrence, 38, chimed in. He added: “Thank u all 4 ur excitement!! I can feel it!! It’s going 2 b awesome to see Blssom again. All 5 seasons. Starting July 7th on @hubtvnetwork.”
Blossom aired on NBC from 1990 to 1995 and centered on a teenage girl trying to adjust to living with her brothers (Lawrence and Stoyanov) and dad (Ted Wass) after her mother left the family.
The comedy-drama is most remembered for its opening theme song “My Opinionation,” Lawrence’s “Whoa!” zingers, and its ’90s fashion like bundles of floral, double denim, and funky accessories.
