Fortune and glory might be in Chris Pratt‘s future! The Jurassic World star, 35, is being considered to play legendary archeologist Indiana Jones in a Disney reboot, Deadline reports.
Disney has tapped Star Wars and Star Trek director J.J. Abrams for the next phase of the franchise that started in 1981 with Harrison Ford in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Ford, 72, who is also appearing in Abrams’ highly anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens as his iconic character Han Solo, last appeared as Indy in 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Deadline reports that the reboot of the action series is still very early, but that the studio has its eyes on Pratt to play the whip-brandishing hero.
It’s been a big year for the Parks and Recreation actor, who had his breakout moment in the Marvel blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy. He will next star in Jurassic World, the fourth installment in the dinosaur flick franchise, in June 2015.
