New dream team? James Corden and Zooey Deschanel had a bizarre and downright hilarious duet on The Late Late Show on Tuesday, November 1.
Corden, 38, and the New Girl actress, 36, belted out Lionel Richie and Diana Ross‘ 1981 song “Endless Love” — with a twist. They parodied the classic ballad with a new tune called “Endless Glove.”
During the performance, Deschanel wore a satin red glove as they serenaded each other.
“And I want to share all this glove with you / Nothing else will do,” they sing. “And your hand tells me how much you care / Oh, yes, you will always be my endless glove.”
Jokes aside, the pair have amazing singing chops. Corden has an extensive background in theater and won a Tony Award in 2012 for his work in Richard Bean’s farce One Man, Two Guvnors. Two years later, the Carpool Karaoke king played the Baker in the Rob Marshall–directed film Into the Woods.
Deschanel, meanwhile, has been in the indie group She & Him with bandmate M. Ward since 2006, and they’ve recorded five albums together.
