Jenna Dewan Tatum rose to fame as a stunning dancer in Step Up, and as it turns out, Channing Tatum's wife can sing as well as she dances. Well, at least at karaoke night, she can! "Karaoke is my favorite go-to wild night out," Dewan Tatum, 34, told Us Weekly at a March Old Navy spring fashion event in West Hollywood, which she attended with her celeb pals Minka Kelly and Mandy Moore.
Prior to hitting the stage, Dewan Tatum and her crew noshes on good eats and plenty of wine. "I love a nice dinner where we can really talk and catch up," the Witches of East End actress, and mom to daughter Everly, 22 months, told Us. "I wish nights out happen more often than they do, but when you have a baby, you pick and choose your nights out very specifically."
Preferring to rent out a private room for karaoke rather than perform in front of an audience, Dewan Tatum fancies herself a master on the mic. "I like anything by Coolio, which is really bad, but good – I know all the words, and it makes everyone laugh," Dewan Tatum revealed of the rapper's jams "Gangster's Paradise" and "Fantastic Voyage." Other go-to tunes: Staples by Madonna and "Sweet Dreams [Are Made of This]" by Annie Lennox.
At home, it appears Dewan Tatum has a budding duet partner in daughter Everly. "She's talking a lot, dancing and moving. She's becoming very independent," the proud mama told Us. "Her personality is shining and it's the most exciting thing in my entire life!"
Calling her daughter a "complete hybrid" of herself and her husband, Dewan Tatum added that even Everly's chattering has motivation behind it. "She has 'Everly language,' which I understand, but I don't know if anyone else does," the actress explained. "She has a lot of words that she loves to say — everything from 'dance' to 'purple' to 'pasta.' The girl knows what she wants, let's put it that way!"
