Whoa Kathy! Fashion Police is back with a bang, and in her first show taking over the reigns from the late, much loved comedienne Joan Rivers, Kathy Griffin proved herself to be every bit as sharp-tongued as her infamous predecessor.
Weighing in on the Golden Globes fashion choices, Griffin picked on George Clooney's new wife, Amal Alamuddin, to receive her most vicious roasting, slamming the attorney for wearing white gloves alongside her full-length black Dior evening gown.
"Yeah, she’s annoying," Griffin said, as a picture of the human rights lawyer flashed on-screen. "You heard me! Everybody run in fear! I thought it was weird she had those gloves that remind me of, like, a porn scene, where the guy goes home and there’s the naughty dishwasher and she only has the gloves," Griffin joked.
Griffin's co-host, Kelly Osbourne, agreed, adding that the gloves belonged "on a vet helping a calf be born."
"Like, she used those bovine insemination gloves to rake through her hair instead of a brush," Griffin continued, as footage of the new Mrs. Clooney fiddling with her hair appeared on-screen. "I'm fascinated how we’re like, not supposed to make fun of her because she married the great George Clooney. Look, everybody’s on the table, George! Nobody's safe, nobody gets a pass," Griffin warned.
Earlier in the show, Griffin had paid tribute to her predecessor Rivers, whose name had become synonymous with the show. "Before I start making more enemies and burning new bridges, I want to thank my good friend," she said of Rivers. "Joan, I know you are watching from heaven, but I am not afraid to bring the hammer down on anyone."
Looks like she meant what she said!
