She’s back! Missy Elliott released her brand new single “Pep Rally” on Saturday, February 6, just one year after performing with Katy Perry at the Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show.
The “Work It” rapper, 44, posted the new track on her YouTube page one day before Super Bowl 50.
“Rock it, now stop it,” she raps on the sporty dance tune. “Now go bend over, touch your toes / Get it, now get it / Let your bottom scrape the floor!”
On November 12, Elliott dropped her first music video in seven years for her single “WTF (Where They From),” which featured Pharrell Williams.
The MC kicked off her long-awaited comeback last February with a career-spanning medley of hits, including “Lose Control” and “Get Ur Freak On,” during Perry’s headlining Super Bowl set. Following her performance, Mashable reported that Elliott had eight songs and four albums in the Top 200 charts on iTunes.
