No new friends? Seth Meyers and Quvenzhané Wallis rubbed shoulders at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 11, but the two stars did not become instant besties.
Instead, wunderkind Wallis had little regard for Meyers, as the comedian spilled on Late Night on Monday, Jan. 12.
"[I] had a really fun table," began Meyers, 41, who presented at the 72nd Annual Golden Globes with Katie Holmes. "I sat with the Gyllenhaals — Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal… Quvenzhané Wallis was at my table."
"The lovely Quvenzhané Wallis — she was Annie this year," Meyers continued of the Oscar-nominated actress, 11. "So adorable, so talented, couldn't have been less interested to meet me… pretty much fully iced by Quvenzhané Wallis."
Meyers, who was accompanied at The Beverly Hilton Hotel by his wife Alexi Ashe, palled around with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and interacted with veteran Hollywood stars, but failed to win over the choosy sixth grader, who rose to fame with her role in 2012's Beasts of the Southern Wild.
"Look, I get it, she's not my demo," Meyers spilled of Wallis. "She was really lovely. She's such a wonderful actress though, she's such a talented actress. Despite her acting skills, could not even pretend to be interested in me."
"It's hard, you know, cause I'm a huge Quvenzhané fan," he added. "I feel like now I gotta carry that with me and next time I see her film I gotta be like, 'Why don't you like me more?' Don't meet your heroes!"
