Curb Your Enthusiasm
Curb Your Enthusiasm is a long-running, improvisational comedy series created by and starring Larry David. Premiering on HBO in 2000, the show followed David’s fictionalized version of himself as a wealthy, socially awkward and often irritable man who finds himself in a series of awkward and humorous situations.
The show features a recurring cast of characters, including Cheryl Hines as Larry’s long-suffering wife, Cheryl, and Jeff Garlin as his best friend, Jeff Greene. The ensemble also includes memorable guest stars, such as Ted Danson and Susie Essman, whose interactions with Larry often lead to some of the show’s most iconic moments.
Curb Your Enthusiasm initially ran for eight seasons on HBO between 2000 and 2011. After a six-year hiatus, the show returned for new seasons sporadically. A ninth season aired in 2017 and the 10th followed in 2020 with the 11th dropping in 2022. The 12th and final season aired in 2024.
The comedy was nominated for 55 Emmy Awards but only won two: one in 2003 for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series and another in 2012 for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series.
