Cheryl Hines is an actress known for her role as Cheryl Davis on Curb Your Enthusiasm, earning two Emmy nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Central Florida in 1990. Her first acting job was at Universal Studios Orlando, recreating the iconic shower scene from Psycho (1960), originally performed in the film by Janet Leigh.

In 1994, Hines moved to Los Angeles, working as Rob Reiner’s assistant and a bartender while training in sketch comedy at The Groundlings Theater, where one of her early teachers was Lisa Kudrow. In 1999, director Robert Wiede saw her perform at a comedy showcase and invited her to audition for Curb Your Enthusiasm, which premiered in October 1999. The show’s twelfth season debuted in April 2024.

Hines has appeared in notable films and TV shows, including RV, The Ugly Truth, Bad Moms Christmas and Suburgatory.

She married film producer Paul Young, then chairman of The Groundlings, in 2002. They have one daughter, Catherine Rose Young (born in 2004), with whom Hines cofounded the beauty brand Hines + Young. The couple divorced in 2010.

In August 2014, Hines married Robert F. Kennedy Jr., becoming stepmother to his six children.
