Friends
The iconic sitcom Friends debuted in 1994 on NBC. The show ran for 10 seasons until 2004 and revolved around six friends navigating their 20s and 30s in Manhattan.
Rachel Green (played by Jennifer Aniston) works as a barista at Central Perk, and the café serves as home base for the group of pals: siblings Monica and Ross Geller (Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer), quirky musician Phoebe Buffay, struggling actor Joey Tribbiani and his BFF Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry). Throughout the series, the friends live together or apart in different combinations as they navigate their careers, love lives and more. By the end of the series, Monica and Chandler become parents to twins, Phoebe and Mike (Paul Rudd) get married and Rachel “got off the plane” to confess her love for Chandler.
Friends was a huge success, with its 2004 series finale becoming the fifth most-watched series finale in television history. The show won six Emmy Awards — including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2002 — from a total of 62 nominations.
Following the end of Friends, LeBlanc starred in his own spinoff titled Joey, which focused on Joey’s move to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. It aired for two seasons from 2004 to 2006.
