Lizzie McGuire

Disney Channel’s Lizzie McGuire follows the eponymous character, played by Hilary Duff, navigating personal and social issues through her teenage years. Duff also voices an animated version of Lizzie that expresses the character’s inner thoughts and emotions.

The series features Lizzie’s parents, Sam (Robert Carradine) and Jo (Hallie Todd), and her little brother Matt (Jake Thomas). Also included are best friends David “Gordo” Gordon (Adam Lamberg) and Miranda Sanches (Lalaine), frenemy Kate Sanders (Ashlie Brillault) and popular boy Ethan Craft (Clayton Snyder).

Lizzie McGuire premiered in 2001 and concluded after two seasons in 2004. A feature film The Lizzie McGuire Movie was released in 2003. The series was nominated for two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Children’s Program in 2003 and 2004.
