Top Chef
About
The reality competition series Top Chef features chefs competing against each other in culinary challenges while being judged by a panel of professional chefs and other famous personalities in the food industry. Contestants are eliminated each week, and those who make it to the season finale are challenged with creating a full-course meal. The winner earns the title of “Top Chef” and a grand prize of $250,000.
Top Chef premiered in 2006 and has produced multiple spinoffs, including Top Chef Masters, Top Chef: Just Desserts, Top Chef Junior, Top Chef Amateurs and Top Chef Family Style. Numerous international adaptations have also been produced. After 20 seasons, longtime host Padma Lakshmi announced her departure from the series in June 2023. Top Chef season 10 winner Kristen Kish took over the role when season 21 premiered in March 2024.
